How does QR sharing work?
You create a short-lived QR code. A registered practitioner scans it, and you approve the access request before your profile is shared.
How does Med88 support POPIA-aligned handling?
Med88 requires explicit health-data consent, restricts practice access to approved and patient-authorised sharing, records access events, and uses protected cloud connections and storage. Practices remain responsible for their own clinical records. Learn more in the Privacy Notice.
What does consent-controlled mean?
The profile consent checkbox starts unselected and must be accepted before health information is saved. A patient then approves a separate, identified and time-limited sharing request, and can deny it or revoke an active grant. Learn more.
Can I update or revoke access?
Yes. Update your profile at any time and revoke an active access grant from your Med88 account.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Your R349.00 monthly subscription per practitioner begins after the free trial. Each successful patient scan costs R1.49 and is collected with the next subscription debit. No VAT is charged.
Does Med88 replace clinical records?
No. Med88 provides patient-supplied information and does not replace a practitioner's clinical records or judgement.
